The Mibri C64 Demoshow
Hello everyone,
I thought I should start a thread here so I can post details whenever I'm planning to do a Twitch stream of C64 demos played on real hardware. We had a great time during the one I hosted last week!
I will be doing another one tomorrow (Tuesday 14 April) night at 1930 UK time (2030 CEST), playing a few releases from Revision 2020 alongside lots of other great C64 demos, intros, etc.
Find me at https://www.twitch.tv/mibric64/ - cheers! |

No worries Oswald, we'll be back again next week, and probably every week until this lockdown situation changes, then I'll review things.
I think I'm going to keep a list of all the prods I play each week from now on - will share in this thread.
Already got a bunch of decent requests ready to play, but if anyone has any more, fire away and I'll see what I can do. :D |

Quote: Back at it tomorrow (Tuesday 28 April) night! Live at https://www.twitch.tv/mibric64/ from 2030 CEST with lots of demos and pleasant company. See you there!
Super cool, you showed my new Onslaught intro ! Thanks mate ! I can not see it live, but i Always watch it later then. A really good source to watch old forgotten classics plus find some stuff i missed over all those years ! Keep it up !
Chats from some Scene heroes are funny and informative ,too. |

has been really fun to be around this liveshow. will be looking in next week again for sure. :)
just some nitpicking about image quality.. scroller seemed to move like up and down in the picture. not sure if this is with white text/content only. |

Thanks for joining in!!
I had struggled previously to get 50FPS working nicely so I have had my streaming software set to output 30FPS... but I just ran a couple of tests and it looks like I might now be able to run at 50FPS after all. I'll give it a try next week!
My setup is far from ideal, since I'm running from a laptop that I've had for a little while now with a pretty nasty capture device, but hopefully it's just about good enough for a bit of cheap and cheerful demoshow fun! |

Captured C-64 video was good enough. :)
But it did look funny in a few places. As if the capture device wouldn't know what a non-interlaced 50 Hz PAL signal is and apply regular interlace. But then the same frames had perfectly still areas, too, above and below the shaky bits. Weird. =D |

I also think the video was perfectly ok. Fit for enjoying 3 hours of demos and chat together.
Looking forward to seeing you on next tuesday's session, keep it up! :) |
