Retro Replay -> Final Cartridge III F-Keys ??
Hi guys, this isnt a hard task but i cant do it.
Im using an Ultimate1541-II+ Cartridge and i used Final Cartridge III before all my life but because i dont work 100% (for example Sid Wizard) i use Retro Replay now. However I would love to have the Retro Replay with the FC-III F-Keys like
F1=LIST (LIST:)
F3=RUN (RUN:)
F5= LOAD"*" (DLOAD)
F7= LOAD"$",8,1 (DOS"$
I could provide the Cartridge Roms if needed.
Cant be really hard but i wouldnt know what to look for.
If anyone would like to do that please let me know here or a PM.
THANK YOU !
(I'm like a cat, i dont like changes ;) ) Also i think the FC-III FKeys are the perfect order ! |

haha, SHAME, no of course its not ,8,1 ;) But dont be a smart Ass.
Its over 30yrs ago that i programmed something in assembler on the C64. It should be super simple, just exchanging the F-Key Hex-"Numbers" and it should work. |

Sounds good Groepaz. CHEERS.
Prob is i cant find is here or at pokefinder Also searched for freplay. Nix.
So i found this site:
http://www.oxyron.de/html/freplay.html
Downloaded it renamed the bin to CRT
When i want to use the TFR08 renamed to crt now it says header of crt file not correct. I assume i cant simply rename that bin to crt. Thought i may work.
My problem with Final Cartridges I+II+III is that when i use Sid-Wizard and go into the Dir it finds the Music Files but when i want to load them it says "File Not Found" dont know why that is.. It works with Action Replay therefore i just thought when someone would simply reconfigure the Fkeys in A-Replay it would be great. Also FC_III hangs on other software (new demos) here and there. |

Thanks man. Ill try that. I also tried Final Cartridge III V4.1 CRT Version but sadly it says "File too large" (to be flashed) so maybe this would have worked.. I have CCS64 but ill get Vice instead then. |

I dont know whats wrong. I use cmd in win10 64bit
got this here: https://vice-emu.sourceforge.io/vice_14.html
i tried several things: however nothing happened at all
but this should basically be it or not ???
cartconv -i "tfr08.bin" -o "tfr08.crt"
i also used it with t
-t carttype
This parameter is optional. It is only needed when converting to a .crt file.
used fc3 (just in case" etc. etc. nothing happened AT ALL...
I know i cant be a programmer anymore ;)
i tried it on win xp (old laptop) as well.
clueless.. hopeless... useless. humorfull at least... |

Thanks Groepaz. I may try this later again, but i guess nothing will happen again like before. However i found a Cartridge called "The Killer Cartridge" which is kinda like FC-III loading wise at least, (same F-Keys) and it works with Sid-Wizard. Yay.. ;) Its not as fast as Retro Replay but at least the F-Key are the same. thats what i wanted. So thanks again for your Help.. |

The KCS Power cartridge has the functions you want:
f1 = list, f3 = run, f5 = load, f7 = dir
It also has Shift+F1 for a monitor and I think it even loads faster.
Here it is (sorry about the dropbox crap): https://www.dropbox.com/s/7vwslfvulxxhy4a/02-Power_Cartridge_%2..
Certainly not the greatest cart, but it has the 'proper' key bindings. |
