hilarious. you're involved now. raistlin is part of your group, now you have to deal with it. 8)
I'm not sure why this genius decided to announce a reformation of a dead group while a far better group using the same name is light years ahead? interesting. jealousy? no way, that can't be it. lol. trolling gone horribly wrong? perhaps. whatever the motivation, it's so lame and sad to witness. there's only one excess that matters. we all know it. nothing will change this fact. |

The C64 scene has always been full of these little joke productions... note Bonzai’s little duck peeing on the Camelot sandcastle. Sure, there were some real, non-joking fights as well - see G*P vs Fairlight and Bonzai vs Panoramic Design for 2 examples .. but if you can’t tell the difference, you probably should grow a set of sphericals ;-)
I wrote to Excess to explain that I did it in a joking fashion. Of course i’d never look to bring Excess back - have you seen the releases..? They had some firsts, before firsts were a thing (thanks to an amazing supplier), but they were just a little UK group playing with the big boys ;-) .. the modern Excess are of course in a different league...........
Anyway, grab a beer and enjoy the scene - don’t take it too seriously ;-) |

I talk a lot with the guys in Excess, so I was probably the first one they hogged. Especially if Raistlin was offline at that moment. I actually thought it was a bit funny that they overreacted a bit, as the text in Raistlin's release was so obviously humourous. Bordeaux first thought it was a birthday present for him: "And here I was thinking my birthday gift came a day early.. Raistlin joins Excess.. That's all I saw whilst driving this afternoon.. Giggle.." |

Yeah. It was so obviously not serious. “Reclaim our crown as #38 in UK” ... yup. We were so obviously #1 at the time in reality, right up above Ikari+Talent and G*P+FE. |
