Release id #218793 : Creatures 2 +2

I have nothing to do with this recrack, why am I credited? Can I just delete the credits for crack/trainer/original supply?

You didnt get a proper reply 10 years ago and expect one from us now? Pls ask again around 2040.

As for the general rest - use your friggin brains?
Anything positively associated people like being credited - and the opposite applies of course.

Whats more disturbing to me: this open to registered users database _should_ work in a wiki way and Burglar might have just changed it?
Quite a few people including infamous ranters here deny changing things due to missing definitions... erm ... brains!

...hearing the Burglar reply already: never miss a good hit on your users!
...replying: get involved!

PS: of course we are fine with discussing every single case! Would you come back here otherwise?

C0, congrats with your typical response! great job man, you rule :)

The reason I opened this thread is to educate the people uploading recracks and not understanding who they should assign credits to. Maybe they learn from this thread and entries are added with correct info from the start.

I'm just trying to help here.

For recracks there are many entries here that give credit to the people who were actually responsible for the crack, trainer, etc. I can see why someone wouldn't want said recracks showing up under their profile. The other side of this is that it really annoys me in a way when I find a recrack and can't give credit where credit is due. After all, all the recracker has done is strip the original release of it's intro and linked their own. What REAL work did they actually do? Maybe recracks shouldn't even be here? I know people have strong opinions on that question here ;)

My general rule of thumb though is to not include the credits for the people that actually did the real work for said release but I know some releases do slip through the crack at times for me and my 50+ year old brain tells me I need to give credit where credit is due....

If Rob Hubbard gets music credits for the commando tune in a random demo that uses it - then Burglar should get crack credits in this crack.

you are very right here with all you wrote. and that was the 2nd reason for opening this thread: to get clarity on how credits should be given.
c0 is clear on this, clarity will not be given, maybe in 2040 when groepaz asks again ;)

If I crack Groepaz, all your creds are belong to me!

You above everybody else knows how things (hardly) work here. We all know that. No need to point that out every minute but be happy whenever something gets clarified before 2040.

When it comes to efforts like music, gfx, code, cracking, etc. I see no problem with crediting that when it is reused, connecting the dots and understanding and mapping the scene. At the same time I agree with Groepaz that it could be done in better ways, but that is outside my expertise. I do what I can with the tools available.

Let’s see what we have in front of us in 2040. Soon there!

This thread is not about "the tools".
