Handle id #18346 : Skyrider

Does anyone know who this is?

I start to doubt they were ever in Nostalgia. I don't recall them in the late 90's, no one seems to know who they are, who let them in the group or who kicked them out.

I asked MrAlpha and Zyron before and they didn't know either.

Perhaps Didi knows?

Is this a fake scener? We're the releases fake?

Someone can help us clear this up?

At least 2 releases were added by Zyron himself, so he should actually know something. :)

EDIT: he also created the scener entry; however, country info was added much later by someone else - perhaps the Asylum cracker is a different one? Although it would be a huge coincidence to have a second scener with the same handle entering the scene around the same time, doing the same job...

It's very confusing.

Also Gyroscope III is not a real commercial release, and I guess that's why he got kicked but I don't know?

If anyone else can help solve this mystery that would be great.

With 12 NOS-releases in 1997, it would be strange if he never was a member. Zyron added some of his releases too to csdb. He seems to have started Asylum together with Remarque in 1998, right after his NOS-adventures.

Maybe some other Polish guys know more? Ninja seems to have had some contact in 2001? Or maybe he just used a relocated sid?

I can't recall being in contact with him. So, I'd assume I got his relocated SID from somewhere. But even that I cannot clearly remember. Sorry, but I am of no help here.

The relocated Last Ninja 2 tune by Skyrider is from SIDBurners 5 compilation
The way the text is formatted at $1000 reminds me how Murdock aka V12 did in his rips and own tunes. Coincidence?
Real name in Skyrider entry doesn't match Murdock tho, but I don't know where this "Jarek Darnowski" comes from, it was added by Grennouille in 2012.
Skyrider is listed as member at the old https://www.n0stalgia.org site, if it even matters anymore.

He is introduced as a new member in Nostalgia by Mr Alpha in SIDBurners 3 (feb -97): "WE GOT A NEW MEMBER CALLED "SKYRIDER" AND HE'S A REAL FAST RELOCATOR !" and his name and full address is there as well, amongst the other members.

He is also greeted in Target Renegade +4 (April 1997) as a member of the Polish group Flower together with his pal Remarque, which he will create Asylum with in 1998.

From The Crest #8 (18 February 1998):

"- SKYRIDER was kicked out of NOSTALGIA. Besides this
they released a DEPECHE MODE COLLECTION.
Memberstatus:
---------------
ANIMALO, BOB, DAN DEE, DIDI, LUPO, MR ALPHA, SCARE,
SLEDGE, WALKER, ZYRON"

In Skyhigh #19 (1995) his birthdate is stated (1977).

In Skyhigh #18 (1995) Coda is asking for his address. They seem to have been swapping.

In -99 he is thanked in SIDBurners 5 together with Fungus and more...

After some more research Skyrider, Hirer and Remarque were in Flower together. And Remarque and Hirer seems to have joined Ambush and later been in contact with Onslaught when Ambush went defunct. Maybe MacX, Jazzcat or others involved in what happened with Flower, Ambush etc. knows more. I still suspect more and better info could be obtained in swap notes etc. But they are not as easy to grab, search and read, ofc.

To me it seems Skyrider is a real person, Polish scener, active 1996-1998. Hirer and/or Remarque should know more, if someone still are in contact with them. He most surely was a member of Nostalgia for a year, it seems. We have sources of him joining, and being kicked. He also seems to have continued the numbering tradition from Nostalgia in his Asylum releases.

I asked Zyron again today, and from what he remembers after reading what I have written. Skyrider was indeed a member of Nostalgia, and other than that also a real person.

Good investigations. Probably recruited by Mr.Alpha especially for the Sidburners series, hence the information got lost.
I've added him as Help (no idea how else you can credit just the relocation of tunes used in those productions) in the 3 sidburners 3/4/5.

Thanks hedning. That explains and at least now I know he isn't imaginary. It was before my time in the group, and GRG knew nothing about him either.
