Event id #3527 : Plain PETSCII Graphics Competition 2025

Mostly same procedure as 4 years/8 years/12 years ago...

For the main/plain compo the main rule is:
- If you can print it, it's PETSCII
- upper or lower C64 CharROM case and $d020/$d021 can be picked freely
- fullscreen, baby, 40x25 tiles
- 2 entries per competitor, you can withdraw competing releases within deadline, e.g. to be replaced by newer works.

Hankypanky like Multicolor/ECM/animation/scrolling/Splits/whatever will be moved to "Mixed" (<- also 2 entries per competitor allowed). And as usual I reserve the right to disqualify poorly-wired pr0n, nazi stuff or mere shit.

More info ASAP,
now flex your fingers or bang your heads on the keyboards!

Cheers

One of the many people who made PETSCII great again
(even if only every 4 years) =D

just BTW...

My pedantic past self would maybe have ruled out adding music.

But as I didn't do that explicitly here, I hereby declare
The Three Graces
a valid entry for the main competition as Hein didn't use ECM/MC/Sprites/Splits -> followed all the video rules and didn't indicate it's meant to be an entry for WiLD!

And as I'm in a generous mood, I also allow your release to have rom-based sprite scroller in top or bottom border (yes, I'm aware this is normally done via a split, but outside the screen).

And there is no such thing as CSDb voting. Voting will happen the old school way again with voting disk (image) displaying mere screen and border. Thus, both music or scroll will be irrelevant for the voting.

The compo deadline will be during an MYD! ABC party, so I'm gonna try to get the voting disk out on Sat 24th (and force a fistful of people to volunteer as jury members). But of course everyone can leech the voting disk image and vote (probably till Fri 30th). And as usual self-votes will be neutralized mathematically, so you can in theory downvote everyone else but can't upvote yourselves, just kidding, we're not 12 anymore, are we... :)

8 more days to go!

some cool entries already but I expect a flood more to come!

PS: If rotten or non-existant CSDb account's an issue
(seems like some peeps just re-activated their account to compete)
in case of hurry (deadline), I also accept entries via
email to ryker[ÄT]freenet.de
preferrably executable .PRG of course

But hit deadline!
