Release id #253427 : El Cartero [c64gm]

Is gamemaker64 considered to be an equivalent of Gary Kitchen's GameMaker or more if an IDE? You need to provide code, sprites, character sets, tile sets and it is also compiler.
Isn't this more of a fully featured IDE?

I don't see much difference between this and Visual Studio except for an easier C64 experience.

Its certainly much less "construction kit" style than the other mentioned tools.

It looks more of a Integrated Development Environment (IDE) than stuff like GKGM or SEUCK, ofc. But hey. If you think a game is good, train it and release it. Who cares about the points (if that's what you really are after).

Perhaps you are interested in what the Belgian developer of the game El Cartero, Dirk Roosen, has to say about this:

"hello it is not made with Garry Kitchen game maker or with seuck it is made with a new program on pc that gives the full 64kb memory and has multiplexer and 8-way Smooth Scrolling bitmap hi-resolution and multicolor, paralaxing and compression it is a much stronger program and is very nice to work with."

He posted this statement under the following video in response to a comment of uwezemke744:

It looked more like a development tool like C64 Studio or UG Basic development unit to me as without skills you can`t realize anything here.

With a normal game maker like SEUCK nearly everyone can do a small game.

If the AGPX tool is classified as game maker, it`s okay for me as the rules are for everyone now, which is fair.

By the way, I did our release, as it is a very nice game.

It's a simple game but nicely made.

As it is the first full game made with the C64 Game Maker it was the time to make a decision. It's done.
