Group id #306 : The Force

I was wondering something about this group. Why is there seperate entries for all the force groups, The Force, The Force, The Force when in reality it's one group? Atleast according to Danny where he in a swap-note on a the force spread disk is talking about their new members in hungary Captain TAS and Freeze and some more new members in australia. And he is also refering to some of the italian members Zagor and Zoris in the note. True one can often read statements like the force italy or the force israel in various productions but I still say it's the same group.

It seems a bit messy. F.ex. the Hungarian TF has 1991 as founding year while the Austrialian one has cracks from 1988/89 listed. It will take some serious investigating to correct all of this.

Yes it's a big mess, perhaps one should see it that the hungary section joined in 1991, while the australian section joined in 88?

I seem to remember that it was in fact several different groups with the same name that merged into one over the years.

The oldest Force group is the Israeli group, formed by Daniel in 1985. The story could of been that for being that group being quite small and that it was originated in Israel, they were requiring new members. But due to the life threatening Israeli society (religion) and that there were not many Israeli groups in the scene, other sceners would of formed their section of that group, such as the Australian Force, and then later the Hungarian and Italian section.

Don't forget that Israel itself is a dangerous country to live in, (and always has been) so not many members would of joined in that particular country due to life threatening issues.

This is my opinion on the groups, so correct me if I am wrong.

I just had a look at their old website http://tforce.cjb.net/
Looking at the c64 members section, it views all members from the Israeli, Australian and Italian groups. The Hungarian members however are not displayed.

This could mean that the Israeli, Australian and Italian Force were together in one co-operative group, where the Hungarian Force was a separate group. Would this help the confusion a bit?

To some point but as I said the israel section stated the hungarians as new members in a disk note from 91. And that page isn't that update anymore.

The Hungarians were definately part of the real The Force, the makers of the homepage probably forgot about them.

@CRD: Fully agreement to your statement about living in Israel is dangerous, but could you explain the conclusion why only few members from there would join a C64 group for that reason? I dont understand your logic.

My bad phrasing has kicked in again :-P

I should of said: "Members WOULDN'T of joined a c64 in Israel BECAUSE of life threatening issues in Israel, i.e. bombs."

This may or may not been the case though as most of that particular danger only happens in the capital of Israel, where Daniel and the rest would of lived outside the capital (although their addresses are unknown.) hence concentrating on better things to do, such as import/crack games and make demos for the c64. Israel is quite a complicated country unfortunately.
