Group id #1680 : The Survivors

Why the fuck is http://www.ontarioghosttowns.com listed as the homepage of The Survivors and makes no mention of said group? Who gives a flying fuck about northern Ontario anyhow? Its about as relevant in 2003 as Yiddish or French.

Maybe you should settle down a bit and start checking the site properly. Wamderer used to be a memeber of the survivors for nearly 2 years.

Anyways before ragging him down without any reason you should ask yourself why there are nearly no US guys caring for entering scenerelated stuff in here.

It is really good that at least he cares for the American scene.

maybe you better start doing something that helps in here than just complaining...

and yes, you can ignore my posting as I am unworthy too

Yes, he's done a great job keeping the memory of The Survivors alive. (Thanks Dude!) :-)

Yeah, makes zero sense that nearly nobody has entered NTSC related information. Nearly 90% of NTSC groups are entered by myself... most in 2002 and a few recently.

But, if you look back, that's the way the two sides were. PAL guys for the competition and friendship mostly. NTSC guys - mostly different reasons.

What were the reasons for the NTSC guys then?

It was competition and friendship just as in PAL land, however there was a lot more warring for whatever reason. (That part was fun too mostly and resulted in a lot of very funny demos.) :-)

Boba Fette, can you relinquish ownership of the FBR entry? I'd like to update it and fix some of the information you entered in as trivia.

Looks like the site (or I) goofed and my personal description ended up overwriting my FBR description. I'll move it to the right place.

As for updating it, I'll send you some contact info and we can discuss offline. FBR has a lot of history and since I was there in the early times I want to make sure that Punisher, Ninja and ][nfernals portions are kept alive.

I'm happy to report that with the help of Sailor/Triad and Mike of Import64, that some long lost TS intros have been found. In addition, some old demos and intros from other groups have also been dug out of the attic.

I'm also uploading some of the Survivor releases to this website.

You can find the URL for the intros/demos under The Survivors.

If you havent already, you should make sure that the intros are available through CSDb.

Also, sending a copy of (possibly) missing intros to the guys behind intros.c64.org would be nice too.
