The sidsound to cats ears

My cat is sitting on my knee now, and i am playing Mark Cooksey sids loud - and the cat still sits om my knee?
That means the sid sound is not disturbing the cat, and his sensitive ears.

Well, I've noted that a cat I had never was the least interested in what was going on on screens (c64 screens included). She barely looked at it. But she was always very attentive to/interested in actual 3d movement in the real world. I do know some cats may try to catch things that move on the screen though, hence paying attention to the movement, so it seems partly individual (and possibly also dependant on the type of screen).

Anway, that's graphics and you are talking about music:

A counter theory to your observation is that your cat probably gives a fuck about sid music, and even hates it, but that it simply really wanted to sit in your lap. Prove me wrong!

Yesterday I literally fell off my bed at 5.15 am and went into my garden. Neighbour's cat was already there and very interested in my wood pile. Suddenly I heard some SOUND that was not very cat-like. Was worried... a bird to save? But then, it was only a mouse. Good cat!

However/BTT, I guess, they do perceive a different range of frequency than we do, probably a greater range. Maybe this makes SID music sound worse, maybe quite the opposite? Might also depend on the individual cat.
