sid2sng Windows builds
Because I read some people have problems compiling this [https://github.com/2bt/sid2sng] for Windows you can maybe try these versions:
https://jansalleine.com/trans/sid2sng.zip
32 and 64 bit versions included in the zip. Crosscompiled on Linux with mingw32 GCC. I don't have any Windows to test. They work in WINE... It's a command line tool, so use in CMD (or Powershell) or whatever stupid "terminal" like program Windows has nowadays...
Use at your own risk and happy instrument stealing! :-P |

Quoting spider-jBut keep in mind for next time: noone needs any "releases" that can be produced by simply writing a shell script / batch file themselves.
Excuse my stepping in here, but... before this "pack-mishap" happened, i actually had a quite longish chat with That8BitChiptuneGuy. And i wrote a very detailed, noob-friendly explanation of certain pitfalls about releasing stuff on CSDb to him. It was on a certain discord server for a certain forthcoming "transcoding" software... so... the steep part of the learing curve still seems to be ahead, as i personally dare to suspect. |

What do you guys think about a browser based sid2sng? This way you Windows folks won't have to suffer though the hassle of building (but I will have to suffer a bit more instead). |

seems like overkill for a tiny application. just compile a windows exe and upload it here to csdb, along with link to source in the release. :) |

Yeah, what Adam said. I'm no "Windows folks", but if needed I can offer my cross-compile services :-) |

Don't get me wrong. I really hate the browser as a platform. But it's what everyone seems to be doing these days. It's almost a miracle there's no tracker for the browser yet. |
