Malicious File Alert

Today i am getting malicious message alert when i try to download any file with chrome.
It says website may be hacked try again later.
Not had this come up before.
Tried https://edgeemu.net & www.c64.com and both are ok for
downloading.

Perffffff can request removal from the list of malware sites by using this website: https://www.stopbadware.org/request-review (according to mozilla firefox). Also see http://mzl.la/1BAVoBE at the bottom.

In the meantime, just turn off the protection for malicious sites/software in your browser.

I noticed the past few weeks when i downloaded a file there was about a 5 second delay before it downloaded as if it was scanning automatically by my security software.
I thought it was some norton security new feature at first, but no it's chrome and it's freakng annoying this is.
Also i deleted broadjump client 5 days ago which has been on my computer for many years without much trouble but recently it was draining 50 percent of my computing power mostly all the time,so enough was enough, but nothing to do with this problem i think just minor spyware crap proggy.

Unchecked "protect you and your device from dangerous sites" in privacy settings in chrome browser and seems to have done the trick.
Norton should be automatically doing the same job anyway so no probs.(:-)

3rd party Anti-virus is a waste of resources on Windows 10. The built in virus and malware checkers are just as good and don't use nearly as much resources (even though you will still see periods where it will spike one processor core).

Edge allows you to download it just fine without having to expose your computer to actual malware.

I doubt edge will work on windows xp especially my computer its an old pentium 4 processor running 3 ghz with 4gb of ram ddr2 266.7 mhz lol.
I don't think it would work on xp.
Im dreading the day though when win xp is finished altogether.(:-(

You need more than anti-virus to protect XP. It's way beyond it's point of "finished altogether".
