Problems searching stuff
Hi,
I have problems searching csdb... if I type in (for example):
Xenon + <- xenon with trainers... I only get "no results" now.. have worked earlier?
Searching without + works however

Another issue with search but then within entering "credits"/"released by" is special characters.
When I try to search for:
"Jörg Schäfers"
or just "Jörg" or just "Schäfers"
it will find nothing. I have to type in "rg Sch" and then select his name from the list. It doesn't like the ö and ä.
The normal search features in CSDb is not affected. It's only the credit search and group/scener search.
Also try to search for group "Funkentstört" in the group search of an entry and you will find nothing while it is found when you search for "Funkentst". |

Using 'Schaefers' works, but only for SIDs. My guess would be that the PHP code was never properly set up to handle non-latin1 codepages. |

it also fails on dots, try searching for "l.a.style" which gives no result. while "la style" does, and finds "l.a.style" =) |

"hedning" has no dots, so that works fine =) |

I know for sure that those searches worked before for special characters. The display of the search results was recently changed so it could be that it is broken since then. |

Hi.
I'll take a look at it. :)
And yes, a lot have changed on this new server.
Both the encoding which is used is now UTF8, and a new version og both PHP and the database software.
Edit:
Think I fixed the problem now. The new database works a bit different than the old. ;)
Let me know if there are any other odd things.
Edit2:
About the problems in 'add <whatever>' I got it under control also. But I have to run through all of them to check, so it might take a little while. :) |
