Ultimate Screenfader thread

Hello, my name is Anonym, and I am addicted to screen faders. You know those (sometimes not so) little effects that get you from the loading screen into the demo. I'm not looking for a self-help group at this point, but rather a collection of the best screen faders. I searched far and near but haven't found one yet?

Which productions have memorable screen faders that you like?

The Doors of Perception

Converting the BASIC screen into hires, using sprites to set the picture over it and then dropping the remaining characters. Wow.

not only that, it scrolls while keeping 40 char wide screen and hires mode :)

Quote: those mighty guys in Shape make the best fadein fx IMHO. check the doors of perception, the already mentioned artillery, etc.

Actually hadn't seen that one yet, all in all a very nice demo. Love the basic screenfader through the sideborder, looks cool. Thank you.

The one in the latest Atlantis release is cool, too. I like how smooth the screen moves to the back and how it's integrated into the beginning of the demo:

Don't know if this counts, but the anim-part of the intro of ES1RA is a really nice one I think.

Ok, if you stick to "what happens to the basic screen", then there's "only" a col-fade out. But the animation kicks in rather close to it;)

Ah, just realized that I did some fade-out from basic screen myself, in The Other Lines (though it's just for a picture display, for sure not on par with the other examples given earlier!).
