CGterm 1.7b2 Disconnected Msg

Hi , im trying to connect to bbs's on win10 with cgterm.
Im used to connect with the original c64 and my wifi64 modem.
When i try to connect via cgterm i get disconnected , cant seem to connect to any bbs.
Am i missing something , its my first time trying this.

Tried The hidden bbs , cottonwood bbs and borderline bbs ....

Windows Firewall getting in the way? Or some "internet security" snakeoil?

I am getting the same under Linux when using the bookmarks.
Using D option for connecting with the right port added works.

The keyboard mapping is a mess for me though :)

I hope you use the port number after the address, after a space, nothing else.

It can be tricky with CGterm, which does seem to need an update in order to run optimally under contemporary Windows. It is do:able though, as many use it to connect to my BBS (Boar's Head Tavern, byob.hopto.org : 64128).

With regards to Linux and keyboard mapping did Grip write a little primer some weeks ago: https://datagubbe.se/cgterm/

so it has to be

cottonwoodbbs.dyndns.org port#

not a : between adress and port# ?

My cgterm config file looks like this:

bookmark = Boars Head Tavern, byob.hopto.org, 64128

...and that works fine.

That's correct. Just a space between host and port when starting cgterm from the command line.
