MEGA65 demos on CSDb?
The MEGA65 has started shipping its first batch of 400 machines - this is really great and I assume within a short while can see some demos from this platform - and of course this will only improve over time and when more people get a MEGA65.
As the MEGA65 is a FPGA reproduction of the Commodore 65, then I don't know if it would be allowed/possible to post the demos here also as I see CSDb as the place for retro-demos. There is a MEGA65 filehost, but it lacks the functionalities and style from CSDb.
If this would be allowed then I assume it would be a good idea to have new categories for it created? E.g. "MEGA65 demo" or alike? |

I agree with OP on this one. M65 releases should have a category on CSDb, just like C65 releases would have and as DTV and C128 releases already have.

Maybe not "MEGA65 Demo". Maybe something like "MEGA65 Release" would be better, like how REU Releases use the Tag "REU Release" or how EasyFlash releases use the tag "EasyFlash Release". |

But why? We don't have vic20 or plus4 releases either. Its a totally different platform (unlike c128 and DTV, which are closely related to C64). "Related Release" is already stretching it IMHO. |

Why is a C128 more related to C64 than MEGA65? In MEGA65 you also have the same "GO64" and you can also use many of the same registers. SID is also the same so I don't agree it is any different than e.g. a C128.
It would have felt as a natural "extension" to a C64, if it would have been released back then. |

Selling the bear's skin before killing it? There is ONE Mega65 production so far, as groepaz already said, let's wait at least there are some. |

Let's see if more than a handful releases surface that would even qualify for csdb ;) |

There's this, and a few other smallish Mega65 have been released at Shallan's Discord as well.

And it's totally not intro-linked yet! |
