My question was:

Does anybody have the original addresses of the two Venlo places???

-> One topic for two addresses, or not???

that's a very hard question..

last recollection I have on Venlo was of Sex'n'Crime #1..
so I looked it up and damn.. my memory still works..
it only contained the adres as mentioned above (at memory $57e0 - $58c0 and not even 100% correct.. hehe)

That issue was released in feb. 1989 so you will need to find someone online that has been around longer then that.. good luck, since I was supprised the addy of the (!) venlo meetings was actually even made public to non sceners even in 1989 in Sex'n'Crime :)

I've been often to that first location in Venlo before
they moved to the Blerick part of the town (87 until 89)

But hell, I don't recall the adress, can't also remember
if it was listed in a magazine or not.

It was a technical school, shouldn't be too many of those in Venlo.

Yeah! I remember that it was a school and on the other side of the road there was a factory of some sort. If my memory serves me well. ;-) I was there Dec '89.

According to Illegal issue #35 (12-02-1989), to reach the Quote:
new location
which can be found Quote:
in the middle of the shopping area in Venlo
you'll have to Quote:
drive over the big bridge in Venlo
. Google Earth, anyone? :)

*grin* come on you old farts..

if i'm old enough to remember being a 13 year old kid and finding the new venlo addy reading sex'n'crime issue#1.. then one of you older guys must remember the previous addy?

Ehm.. did I emphasize on you guys being old?
(i knew at one point I would enjoy being younger.. hehe)

The Courbois Brothers (with their strange high voices, and their mom always with them) weren't the original organizers, they took over, maybe even *after* the move to Blerick.

Man, I hated these guys: "in 5 minutes we wil turn off the power", only to do it right away.

hehe.. oh shit I almost forgot about that TDJ :) man that indeed was annoying as hell sometimes..

not a bad career move.. from ugly basic games, to organizing venlo meetings, to selling crappy z-quality porno on pc fares :)

We from Excess did videos on most Venlo-
Meetings. We visited the meetings
at De Staay nearly every month from
January 92 to May 94.

The videos from that video from you,Rene,
is also from our old VHS Tapes.

It's a bit strange that I am not 100% certain, but I think that Lead, Chesoner and me viewed on the back are standing at 1:11 in the video. Not sure who the guy is on the right. :)

I'm pretty sure that before De Staay in Blerick it was in a school called LTS De Hagerlei in Venlo. Were there more copy party places?

I did quite a lot of copying of new releases there as well, and meeting other sceners/group mates. So to me as well it was a mini-copyparty.

I attended some of the Blerick events but, looking at the place at Google's Street View, I don't recognize anything. Are those new buildings, built after the early 90s? Does zaal de staay still exist?
