I'm sorry but my homepage-download of 1GB/month seems to be reached. Try again on 1.1.2007 ;-)

@MagerValp: The effects themselves don't need any sync signal messing. It's just the mode switches between the parts where all the capturing hardware needs several seconds to resync and display a picture again.

Ah. Hmm, if you make a version with a 10 second pause after switching modes, it should be possible to record and edit...

I know this is many years past, but I tried to run this on my C128 (in 80 column mode) and it hangs on the DEPACKING part... I let it sit for an hour and the drive just spins.

However, I am running it from a 1541-U2+ in standalone mode. I assumed since it's a D64 image it ought to work. Does the fact that my hardware is NTSC matter?

Any ideas?

Solved: Powering off the 1541-U2+ before running worked. At some point the demo accesses the drive and freezes. Turning off the drive first gets around that for me. Dunno if it was trying to load the 64k picture incorrectly or what...

Yesterday we've tried to run the demo on flat C128 (VDC ram expanded to 64k) off pi1541 and it hangs afer DEPACKING... The same behaviour (MAIN CPU JAM VICE tells) was observed on latest VICE emu when 1541 or 1541-II is used (1570 and 1571 worked fine)

That's quite strange especially considering that "production notes" state V2 is any device compatible.

Hi,

among many other things, my dear brother left me a C128 behind. Today I tried RFO v2 on it with my 1902 and 1541-II. Worked great, then crashed after the rasterbars with the LOADING logo. I thought this is a onefiler now, so what is supposed to be loaded? (the VDC is 16K)
The C128 has DolphinDOS. There is a switch to turn it off, but maybe it only turns it off for C64 mode? Maybe it is always on in C128 mode and causes some incompatibility..?

Thoughts?

Cheers,

Update: For the 1st time I used the C128 Diag mode of the CHECK64, and it shows that one of the "HI RAM" banks is bad. I guess this might be causing the issue, maybe RFO uses this memory (outside the normal C64 address space, I suppose) to store data. Maybe it will be the first time I will repair a C128, if I find the time. After all, I guess the excellent demo is not at fault.
