Full screen sprite editor

Greetings!

I'm looking for a full screen sprite editor. Does such a thing exist?

I tried "hires to sprite" and "convert man", but they just don't work right for me.

Are there any SPRITE editors that allow full screen editing? I need to define 64 or 72 sprites (haven't decided how many just yet) and can't do it 8 sprites at a time. I'm one of those that needs to see the full product, either while I work on it, or an option to view it.

I'm NOT looking to use PC programs like Timanthes or Pixcen or whatever. I don't want to convert anything! I want to draw something using sprites... A LOT of sprites..

Any help would be appreciated.

Considering that there are thousands of "bitmap to sprite/whatever" converters out there I assume the usual way on native C64 is/was:
- pixel your "Sprites" in $KOALAPixelProgram
- convert koala -> sprites

pixel them on photoshop/gimp/p1 or whatever floats your boat in 4 colours (3+trans). centre them a 24x21 grid, export as a bmp screen. import said screen into the latest version of spritepad (2.x). set up the colours correctly in spritepad.

job done.

Pixcen for Windows
Pixcen V0.6.1.11

File->New. Select Sprite mode and/or multi-color.

Adjust the size of the grid and press OK and paint.

Or import something into sprite mode. There are several ways to do it.

Sweet...

Thought I looked at the ESCOS proggy some years back, but going to check it out.

Will try the OSCAR editor when I log off in a few minutes :D

Thanks for the help...

For the record, I started this venture using Gang editor. Monochrome the image and saved only the hires data ($2000-$4000), or whatever the default is.
When using either of the editors in my original message, they seemed to display proper, but when loaded, only the last 24 or so sprites (out of 80!) had definition, or matched the image I was trying to convert.
I'm ONLY converting an image for testing purposes. I'd love to make an actual editor, and maybe that is where this is leading. It's really unknown at this point in time.

I do appreciate the help given, thank you.
