The sidsound to cats ears

My cat is sitting on my knee now, and i am playing Mark Cooksey sids loud - and the cat still sits om my knee?
That means the sid sound is not disturbing the cat, and his sensitive ears.

Yesterday I literally fell off my bed at 5.15 am and went into my garden. Neighbour's cat was already there and very interested in my wood pile. Suddenly I heard some SOUND that was not very cat-like. Was worried... a bird to save? But then, it was only a mouse. Good cat!

However/BTT, I guess, they do perceive a different range of frequency than we do, probably a greater range. Maybe this makes SID music sound worse, maybe quite the opposite? Might also depend on the individual cat.

My cats ignore most of the TV sounds (SID included) except for extremely high-pitched bleeps.

I've read a scholar paper somewhere that their reactions revolve around unexpected stimuli the most, and since they habituate relatively fast to constant/semi-constant sources of sound, it might be a reason why TVs become their "blind spots".
