Particles! BBS
After about 5 years of downtime (which is exactly the same age as my daughter.. that's just coincidental... or not), the board is back up.
Got more time to mess with it now that she's older.
particlesbbs.hopto.org port 6400
If you had an account from 1992-2008, it's still there. Let me know if you can't remember your pw ;)
C*Base, CMD HD, mods, and all that good stuff. |

Updating the board, added a 2GB drive, 512K RAM. Been slowly archiving my floppy disks and putting them online.
Seriously.. check it. Don't make me think I'm doing all this work for nothing ;) |

No worries, there will be a lot of people interested especially in the disk images! Thanks for the effort! |

Just an update...
Been working on Legend of the Red Dragon (PC Door) for Cbase. First alpha is out, and of course, is on the board. Need testers and such to try to break it. It's missing lots of features, but it does work.. I think. |

Will give it a call! Great that you have the energy to put it up again. I have problems myself getting WAQ up again though I still tend to polish stuff for the return :) |

The stuff must shine so much you'll need to connect wearing sunglasses. Get it up, will you? :-) Will miss the 2400 connect sound, though. |

Just ignore the bottom ;) After 1 day, the port scanners reigned havoc on the BBS. I'm leaving it at 6400.
I know some people were having issues with their setups running port 6400 to connect to the board, so it's now able to be accessed via standard port 23.
Of course, if you still want to use 6400, go ahead, it'll work as well. |

Just an update -
We've changed over the board to Centipede 128 and switched out the SCSI drive in the CMD with a SCSI -> CF card, moved the board to running off of a 1750 REU, and lastly, opened the ports to 38,400. In other words, holy shit it's fast.
Supports ANSI, ASCII, PetSCII, Gretzky.. whateverscii now. Check it out. |
