What games would you recommend for kids of the iPad generation?
So here comes another thread about C64 stuff for people from the real world... :O
In a few days I'll host a family party with lots of people coming, including a whole bunch of children. I was thinking of setting up a C64 with two joysticks and some game running for the kids, but won't be able to go there and change game every now and then, so the challenge I present to you is to come up with ideas for the best game(s) possible for this type of situation.
What sort of C64 game would children of today have a lot of fun with? What sort of C64 game would be suitable given the different ages of the kids? They will be roughly between 6 and 14 years old, with most of them being around 8-10, so it would be good with something that's less dependent on actual skill if you see what I mean. :)

Great Giana Sisters, Flimbo's Quest, Paper Boy, Scout, Cybernoid.. and so on..
And Ian Coog is so true. Just give them some disks and let them explore like we all did back then :) |

For the older ones, M.U.L.E. is addictive.
My high school boy and I have been playing it since I got my c= stuff set back up.
The younger kids, a breakout type game or a fighting game. :) |

2 player 1 filers are the answer, and compile them yourself to EZ flash :)

Easyflash collection that includes giana sisters, IK+ and a whole bunch of other games. Just reset.. select new one.. go. etc.

All the Epyx-stuff like Summer Games, Winter Games, World Games always work, even Decathlon if you have enough Joysticks. The Lucas Arts adventures Maniac Mansion and Zak McKracken. Also Wizball and Paradroid were pretty addictive back in the days. |
