Use RR-net in VICE on Mac
Okay, I'm lame.. How do I go about using RR-net in VICE on mac? First of all I attach a RR-ROM as cartridge. Then I go into the "resource inspector" and make sure that RR-net is enabled. However, when running the IP65 test programs it says it fails to initialize the RR-net. I suspect the failure is because the "Interface" field in the RR-net settings is empty in the resource inspector. Now I am not sure if I have to recompile VICE to get some option there filled in already from start, or if I simply have to specify something manually in the resource inspector. Hints?
I'm using the VICE binary from here:

EDIT: Also just noticed that the VICE console says "Warning - Trying to read value from unknown resource `ETHERNET_INTERFACE'." I suppose that means there is no ethernet support in the version of VICE that I'm using and that I would need to compile it by myself to get the ethernet support working? (If someone has a compiled mac OS X binary with ethernet support, I'd be happy. :) Doesn't have to be the latest version, but needs to work on Yosemite.) |

Force Lallalfa to do it again. :)
If someone else is wondering about this, I managed to get it half-working now by using one of Lallalfa's old versions from here:
http://lallafa.de/files/vice/snapshots/
...but it was very unstable and buggy. Crashes etc. |
