Sd2iec
Evening all, I have brought one of these sd2iec devices from the future is 8 bit on eBay, anyway it's ready to pick up from the delivery people.
So my question is, I have a few boxes of disks, a few of the contents aren't on here, so is there a program out there for copying real disks to the sd card on a c64 ? Or more a case of making a load of blank disks on the sd card on a pc and using a disk copy program on the c64 to fill them?
Sorry I haven't really looked into it much yet, it seemed a good idea to buy one after a few beers lol.
Thanks in advance

Thank you, that looks just what I'm after, except I see there's possible 1571 drive problems and I'm afraid that's what I have, I will testify out myself the weekend,
thanks |

Well, despite the comments on that release saying it won't work with a 1571 drive, I don't seem to have any problems making image files 1571 to sd2iec although all the disks so far have been single sided. |

Almost the problems of work on "c1571" mainly refers to c128D. As far as I remember, after reinitiation for transfer a next part of data, a few bytes of code in the drive was destroyed (Rom initiation routine). After moving forward the code by a few bytes, the problem disappeared. Unfortunately, the exception is the drive in c128dcr - I could not force this to correct transfer - it has a little different mechanics.
I'm still working on the development of this project - the editor will be working during opened side borders (64 chars at a single line). |
