Why are my VICE screen dumps so drab?
Didn't know where else to ut this so put it here.
Why when I do a screen dump or video capture directly from VICE ar the colours so washed out and grey? They do not reflect the palette settings that I use. Is there some way around this?
Also is there some easy way to do multiple screens to a single animated gif, directly from VICE? |

I was wondering the same myself ... pretty horrible outcome with these ->
Icicle Race [16kb cartridge]
Pickle's Pod Patrol [16kb cartridge]
QWAK [16kb cartridge]
I'm not aware of a way to make animgif in VICE, but you could try Anim8.4 |

I remember you got that result in older versions of VICE if you had the PAL filter/emulation, or whatever it was called, turned on. |

indeed, use a nightly build. also remember that the CRT emu doesnt go into into the screenshot/recording, so switch that off, then adjust the colors to your liking, and capture.
(and especially for the cartridges you want the nightly build, since 2.4 is broken) |

Thinks for the quick responses, I will give it a try with the nightly build and make sure PAL emulation is off to see if that brightens things up. |
