Trivia :
Megasoft Argentina was one of the first computer and video game stores and one of the most well-known and productive C64 , Amiga, Zx Spectrum, MSX, Pc Computers cracking groups in Argentina today, formed around the end of 1982, where they remain active today, selling hardware for the best brands on the market.

Megasoft were Argentinian crackers, they also made intros for other groups and computer stores in Argentina in the '80s.

Currently active from 1982 - 2025, coding intros and art on c64/amiga/PC Computers.

Here's some more info including activities dating back to 23 Sep 1982 without C=64 relevance:

"Hello how are all ?the Megasoft group was created in 1982, approximately, I am 53 years old, my first computer was a TIMEX SINCLAIR 1000-1500, which came out in 1982 approximately, if I remember correctly, where my mother sent me to a FERRO CARRIL OESTE CLUB where the first computer classes were taught, with those computers, when I say that it was founded in 1982, it is correct since I was almost 9 years old, I already had that name, which came out of my head, where later many people began to call MEGA almost everything as a first name, over the years. Megasoft was in a corner of my house approximately until the year 1989 when I was approximately 16 years old and there my father, who was a shoe manufacturer ( well-known brand of loafers in Argentina ), moved his workshop shoes and gave us the place to set up Megasoft, and there we started with the c64, repairs and sales of computers, saying It was founded in 1982, but that doesn't mean I started with the C64. I'll tell you a bit about my story so you can publish it. I've given you details I've never told anyone! Thank you very much.

P.S.: Almost all home computers start up in the 1982s.
And another piece of information: Megasoft is still around today. It was one of the first computer businesses. You can find it all over Argentina. The first Commodore 64 and Amiga were brought in, I dare say, by us, as were the XT PCs with monochrome monitors.

And thank you all for being interested in our story, one of the legendary and pioneers of Argentina, with all due respect to the scene in EUROPE and the UNITED STATES, who are also pioneers, and the best with many more resources in those years! I learned everything from you!

Then the BBS era with the US ROBOTICS modems, 2400 and 5600, and also where we opted for games, and also with SWAPPERS, to everyone where I still keep letters, from some groups, later I will scan them to upload so they remain in the scene
and we also have, all some original brochures from the SMILING PANDA magazine, from PERU
Twin Eagles Group where we were great friends !!

Thanks to all the criticism and debates you have about Megasoft, I do everything with good vibes, without harming anyone, I have had this in my blood since I was very young and I am proud of CSDb, I think it is the best thing that could have happened to the C64 scene, so that it is always active and everyone can express what they feel and show their projects and art, thanks a lot to everyone! and to this CSDb team! for many more years I congratulate you!

I want to clarify this, in Argentina, in those years when everything was just starting we were nobody, there were no groups here, all we had was to learn from the best or rip things to see how they were made, we owe it all to the scene in EUROPE AND THE USA, now, luckily with everything much more open, there are many kids who do great things and excellent Argentine codes, but we owe it all to the groups from abroad!

Everything I learned as a child was reading, machine code books, and exchanging data between friends, or letters, now everything is much easier, and within everyone's reach.

I am a lover of intros, I do what I can, and many things are no longer in my head, and I do not have time to dedicate myself fully to this, I have a company that demands a lot of my time, but I try to do what I can, with all respect, and love!

I don't like to talk about people I don't know, I don't criticize anyone, and I take everything with good vibes, I'm still learning everything at almost 53 years old, the old school, it's also respect,

I'm nobody in front of all these sceners and coders, but I have respect, I do this for fun, and legacy! Someday my daughter ( La coneja , Fran ) or grandchildren will see what this whole scene was!
And to my wife ( yami ) who puts up with computers all over my house and company!! xD

This will never die.
Thanks CSDb.

In memory of my parents Cata and Kike
and my brother Carlos, who is still in this world of computing!

Greets amigos!
