thanks again to the c64pixels.com staff, and everyone voting. i love that cube. what makes me a bit sad is, that one of the last comments here was from saehn... is he still not found? i hope for another 2screen compo sometime. it was fun | User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 23 January 2012
Congrats again, Yazoo!
Though there may always be some quarrel about votes, you are a deserved winner of a tough competition in which a bunch of awesome doublescreens were produced. | User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 23 January 2012 User Comment Submitted by v3to on 22 January 2012 User Comment Submitted by saehn on 15 May 2011
I think that Asteroidmine was also original. You can find out more about the other entries in their comments sections, Mermaid has posted many of the originals. | User Comment Submitted by PAL on 12 May 2011
So this were the only "original" work, not replica that is? Were it like the others were all braging to have done a work on their own or like doing a remake? If they are honest about it I feel no bad feelings for that, but if they pretend it to be their own it is a bit sad really... not a shame, mostly just a bit sad...
A Kind of Magic has its weird things here and there that is a bit off but all in all it is a colorful display and holds many great things, and the composition is cool in my mind... A deserved winner it is... congratulations to you my sir. | User Comment Submitted by saehn on 12 May 2011
It's not my style, but I simply appreciate the fact that it's well-executed original work! Hope this wins the compo (no results yet?). | User Comment Submitted by Yogibear on 9 May 2011
This is absolutely fantastic! | User Comment Submitted by Cobra/Samar on 9 May 2011 User Comment Submitted by hedning on 9 May 2011 User Comment Submitted by Yazoo on 9 May 2011
@all - thanks for your nice comments :) they made me happy
@enthusi - well... you and me know, that i didnt make it in time ;-) so i needed that overtime (thanks for that) and still struggled a little bit with it. hehe :) | User Comment Submitted by enthusi on 9 May 2011
Kudos for having finished it in time! | User Comment Submitted by DeeKay on 8 May 2011
Wow! I am seriously impressed, though the wheels on the car are somewhat wrong, the suit and especially the hand really do look very nice (apart from the hand root! ;-)! Great pixelwork! | User Comment Submitted by TMA on 8 May 2011
Really nice one. Compowinner! | User Comment Submitted by Medicus on 8 May 2011 User Comment Submitted by Jak T Rip on 8 May 2011
Somehow reminds me of the drawings from Terry Guiliam. | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 8 May 2011
True, the hand might be a bit odd but overall this is the winner in this compo for me personally. | User Comment Submitted by Medicus on 8 May 2011
Not bad indeed. 2 things really bug me though: the cube which could need some shading and the crippled hand...
| User Comment Submitted by JCB on 8 May 2011
I like this one. Reminds me of Robert Williams. Might just because of the flaming hotrod(?) and the strange collection of objects. | User Comment Submitted by Celtic on 8 May 2011
Fantastic pic indeed! I really enjoyed this one, very nice theme, and mad respect for the obvious amount of labour that went into this one. I must say i prefer the top over the bottom part. but all in all, very awesome sir! | User Comment Submitted by Slator on 8 May 2011
nice work yazoo! great details everywhere... keep it up! | User Comment Submitted by Cruzer on 8 May 2011
Lovely action-packed pic full of nice details. | User Comment Submitted by Mermaid on 8 May 2011
Surreal and colourful, what's not to like? Well done! | User Comment Submitted by Wile Coyote on 8 May 2011
+ points for the obvious manual labour.
+ points for the ideas. | User Comment Submitted by Skate on 8 May 2011
great pixel art! and this is more likely a one file demo than a simple graphics displayer. but weird thing is space pauses the music and text scroll disappears but graphic continues scrolling. :) | User Comment Submitted by Ksubi on 8 May 2011
Very cool surreal piece by Yazoo. Love the way the scenes merge together and wondeful use of colour. nice one! |
