Cool, a "rush job" on a 36 years old game...
So let's wait approx. 15 more years for a good mail release then.

@ O'dog if you read any of the scrolllers, you will see we were passed 6 games (in disk form) and sat on them while doing some other things.
Triad suddenly dropped 3 out,and a quick search yes the other 3 are available in tape form from gb64 for anyone else to release.
So at the best it was a rush job to get them out first. | User Comment Submitted by Dwangi on 17 September 2019
DIDI: You are right, so setup the intro compo for 2019 then :) | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 17 September 2019
O'Dog: Still. The Docs are available out there, at least for the BBC versions, which should be about the same. But hey, maybe they panicked and speeded things up because Triad started to release a lot of Mr T? Just guessing here.
Bah. Still so damn nice to see Trasher credited. :) | User Comment Submitted by O'Dog on 17 September 2019
Just a wild guess: Supply by gb64.com? All 3 Fairlight releases are available there, 2 of the ones released by Triad are not. | User Comment Submitted by hedning on 17 September 2019
I still wonder why the docs in these releases are so small. The Triad docs are over 4kb. It almost seems like you did not supply the full docs from the original. If that is the case, why tag them "+D"?
More drama! The scene craves it! | User Comment Submitted by Trasher on 17 September 2019 User Comment Submitted by TheRyk on 17 September 2019 User Comment Submitted by Bacchus on 17 September 2019
We release the games that aren't released or where we find that the releases done are not proper.
Mostly this includes old full price games, but every now and then we come across others. The K-tek and these are examples of the latter.
The intro is a way to tag your release. Graffiti artist don't change their tag between every one they do. We are cracking - not using the cracks as an intro collection. | User Comment Submitted by Trasher on 17 September 2019
For me, using that one was a dream come true. When I saw it as a young boy I didn't really have any idea I would myself use it one day. I just knew I wanted to learn how to crack! Not that's ticked of my list ;) And I have some ideas on pleasing the crowds for future cracks.
Actually I had some plans even for this one, but when Triad released those games I got in a hurry to complete, since I thought they had them all... Turns out it was all a misunderstanding (see scroller for not so much more info). Anyway... Greetings folks! | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 17 September 2019
@Fairlighters: No need to be that pissed. I appreciate your work doing decent releases of old stuff and linking tiny intros to small games. Just some new intros won't hurt, that was my point. The "boring" was just targeted towards the intro. The games are common todays business. | User Comment Submitted by Bacchus on 17 September 2019
@count0 - fair enough, that's a matter of preference. But noone can say we are not true to our legacy.
We also tend to believe that intros should be smaller than the payload you attach them to. We are sort of old skool in that aspect to ... | User Comment Submitted by Pitcher on 17 September 2019
@ Didi, of course we have more 4 intros, just like we have more than just GitHub to supply our games ;) | User Comment Submitted by Count Zero on 17 September 2019
TRIAD rocks you with intros in traditional style then - imho. | User Comment Submitted by Bacchus on 17 September 2019
Dear Didi of GIL - GitHub Intro Linkers.
Adhering to tradition is what you call boring. We don't. Our coders win demo competitions and crackers crack. That is the FairLight way. Live with it... | User Comment Submitted by Didi on 17 September 2019
Booring! :o You guys have more than 4 Intros, don't you? Should we call for "Fairlight Intro Competition"? Requirements? ;) |
