Heh, remember playing this game, paired up with Brian Bloodaxe in a "oh, those wacky Brits" package, back in the day. So it was the torch that allowed you to free that doofus diver, grrr... Thanks, Holy Moses!

And yeah, I should try my hand at an updated title graphic (unless Mermaid beats me to the punch :)

I think there’s a bit of a misunderstanding in your docs. In the game, the main character is not the diver but actually the mermaid, Myrtle, who is controlled by the player. Her goal isn’t to attack the diver but to rescue him after he gets trapped under a ship. So his life depends upon Myrtle’s adventure and problem-solving skills.

As for Myrtle herself, unlike you described her, I think she’s quite charming! Being a sea creature, it makes sense for her to have a form that’s well-suited for underwater life. I imagine her reminiscent of the aesthetic in Skleptoid’s artwork. :-)
