I almost get tired of praising this guys sheer talent, creativity and technique, but he leaves me no other choice! ;-)
Dutch GFX quality at its best, as always.. The lizard's head is prolly the best part, though the body also kicks major ass!
I just wish all those kickass pictures would be wrapped up nicely, fixed with some kickass tunes and other "framework" stuff and there you have it, the demo I've been waiting for for 14 years now: Dutch Breeze 2! 8) How about it, are you up for the Music, Drax? ;-)

From 1 to 10, I'd say 7 means good.

The lizard is all right. But I was way more impressed with your effort for Recollection #2. Thanks for the tip, Lars. :)

Yes! This is what I have been waiting for all along. Totally agree with Joe on this one...

Redstar: Does not the problem revolve "variety" rather than "quality"?

Goddam! Too much good graphicians around. It gives me the shivers... and complex when it comes to future works for my own pixling. And here is YET another great picture! Phew. STOP QUALITY! ;-)

@Joe: it started off looking like this: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/lars.verhoeff/slierten.gif

I guess i don't have the balls (props to you for having them ;) to release something that simple... maybe in 10 years it'll be mainstream ;)

Great pic! best and most ambitious pic i have ever seen on c64! You are a true artist.

Submitted by Joe on 18 October 2006
I'd wish you leave out the "figurative" in your artwork and try just the backdrops. All in all you where amongst the "growing up in the c64 scene" to be amongst the best. so thumbs up. /James

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!! This is too much! My oh My (this is not referring to any demo), what a WoNderFUlL picture!!! A blend between skilled jazzy joeish style and perfect pixel character art. My god, what can I say, all words are meaningless, this is just a wonderful picture. Had any special piano tune on your mind while doing it?

this was my last picture for a while

You wrote down a similar sentence at least three times in the last two months. Not that I mind, your pictures always makes me horny, even the lizard! \:D/

I wouldn't say it was his best piece, but I would say it is very creative, very different. Excellent standard of excecution as always...

I'm just profoundly amazed at the amount of 'pixel merchandise' Mirage has to offer. This is a man in his element.
