Thanks again for the positive/humbling comments :). By the way, where this tune ended up really doesn't bother me. I only hope some of you find it decent enough to listen to it every now and again, that's all.

I whipped it up in JCH v20.g4 in about 5-6 hours, as the deadline was just way too close. I know Raphael Gesqua's tune pretty much by heart, so it wass only a matter of tuning the instruments a bit to make it sound as dirty as I wanted it.

Viruz guys: your angry glares are justified - this should have been an X-Sid tune, not JCH. Unfortunately, real life kept me extremely occupied and I just didn't find the time to get to grips with X-Sid. On the other hand, I really wanted to release something for the Cover Compo, so...

Knock on wood, though, for X2008 - over half a year worth of time should be enough to dive into the new editor and create something listen-worthy. I'll make you proud, I hope :)

Cheers - Before I leave, I'm going to add my notefile into the trivia section here. Take a look to find out a little more, as well as a link to the original tune in .mp3 format.

Heh, I realised in this very second that it actually competed in the cover compo. I can't even remember voting for it. It missed my attention, now that's for sure. Otherwise I'd probably place it somewhere in the top3...

i don't think so ;) my tune for example was the last one and was the most commented entry, afaik.

Unfortunatelly (probably) it came too late to get enough attention.

Flashback FTW. Now that theres 1 decently converted tune its time for a proper C64 version.

Probably my most favourite tune from this years cover compo. Although I didn't get shivers as when listening to "Mama" this one will probably be repeated in my headphones most often. Absolutely fabulous performance. Respect!

Nice one. In the same distorted cinemascope style as your latest release.
