Feel very free to submit info on the various gfx formats on http://codebase64.org :)

http://codebase64.org/doku.php?id=base:vic#custom_graphics_modes
http://codebase64.org/doku.php?id=base:gfx_editors_and_converte..

It is somewhat lacking at the moment, and I think a lot of people might find it useful... :)

btw, that tool should be able to include standard $1000&$1003 tunes too ... and possibly an info screen before the pic is displayed. and a scroller in the lower border. .... ... wait ... =)

For the lazy (k/x/ed)ubuntu users I created a nice .deb file from this.

thanks for that tool, it was about freaking time someone did sth like this! ;-) I dunno how many hundred times I've seen (or done!) the "can *anyone* please turn my compopic into an executable??"-dance on parties! ;-D
Extra bonus points for providing a flexiable architecture and multi-platform-support!

To not make VS builds depend on runtime DLL's, you can set the runtime to static Multi-threaded (/MT) from Properties -> C/C++ -> Code Generation. I tested this and the program compiled fine.

All I have is Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition, and apparently it links against MSVCR90.DLL, which comes with .NET runtime 3.5. Hints on how to make it link against the standard runtime are appreciated.

Running Windows XP. Command line execution attempt gives me: "The system cannot execute the specified program.". GUI execution attempt gives me: "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.".

Ah, I forgot to mention that Mac and Windows binaries are included, and source is there for the bearded crowd.

If the source generates any compiler warnings, please forward them to me.
