so last comment from me, then I'll stop and turn silent again... :)
sorry Ian Coog, I don't intend to tag this title. in the peecee scene such crap is *nuked* and *banned* forever, not preserved. the same should happen to all c64 recracks, stuff done with intro/demo makers, ripped intros, etc.
it's not just a matter that we keep what's good and we delete what we don't like... no, the question here is if a prg belongs to the scene or not. as said I prefer to see this crap lost forever than preserved.
now is the goal of csdb to preserve anything every c64 user ever produced, even from your schoolmate who one day replaced an intro with the text "cracked by <anyrandomstupidhandle>"?
well, I'm a guest here, this is not my site... so go and do everything you like.
but then I believe the site name is somehow wrong... please rename into CUDb (=User) or CODb (=Owner), or whaterver! :)
my idea of the scene is different.

is there a standard? I'm reading that forum tread, which ended with "WDR-flag". lol.

why don't you simply do it? it's not a locked entry, this database it's maintained by anyone who cares.

ok, but entry should be tagged IMHO.
I think we had the exact same discussion on intros.c64.org about ripped intros some yrs ago.
see?! we never grow old! :P

and if you just start to delete what we don't like, there's not really much left in here.

no need to lecture me on wildcat being a recracker, still it's belonging to here. =)

@Xidex: recracks are perhaps part of your scene, not of mine. my opinion (for those who care) is very easy: recracks should be erased forever, disks destroyed and not uploaded; same thing for ripped intros.
@IanCoog: no way I'll start a discussion against you :) but wildcat (no ICS in general, even if there're old members trying the justify what their leader did instead of excusing) recracked a lot of our stuff in the past and that's plain lame. nobody recracked something from you or from your group, so you don't have the same feelings. several recracks from him were well documented. now I honestly don't remember about this title if it was in the list or not, but from all this deep lameness I started to believe that everything he ever released is a recrack. so the question for me is not to prove if this crack was a recrack, but if this recrack was a real crack.
to make it short: this is shit, even if it's 25 yrs old shit. and it will be still shit in 250 yrs :)

exactly what xidex said, there's even a field to mark a release is a recrack, and if you know or have a hint to point out which release has been recracked you can always document it here in comments.

Hi zeSmasher,

nobody likes Recracks, but there are also a part of the scene, so we should add them too. The topic was often discussed.
But if you think this topic needs to be re-discussed you may post into this:
Adding recracks? your opinion.
