I could remember all char codes by heart while being a teenager :)

@jackasser: http://nedbatchelder.com/text/hexwords.html -> enough for a dozen intros :)
...and a pity some genius said hexadecimal was better than eptadecimal, otherwise "F4CG" was allowed :P

best char ever! I'll use it in a intro, so scrolltext finally will make some sense.

Thanks guys for the good comments. Yep, I suppose this was something too obvious to be released before. :-)

I decided to yet append the release with two additional versions of the charset:

Hexcharset1 is the original one.
Hexcharset2 has whitespace (0x20) with the dot only.
Hexcharset3 characters are 1px shorter and whitespace (0x20) is with the dot only.
D64 contains also previews so no need to bother copypasting the Basic.

@JackAsser: I tried first the inverted nybble approach, but I found it much less readable.

@enthusi: Hahaha! :D I've never EVER thought about using the charset like that in that obvious way. I always end up with some shifting and ORing to get me the two characters needed per byte.

I heavily used one for debugging the scheduler in Caren and the Tangled Tentacles. I chose #$ff as empty though to keep some clearity. It's very handy when you print out several variables, registers on screen.

The font I made is smaller, though, I use the same for Above & Beyond

nice idea, but not really useful.

Instead of having the little dot in the lower left, may I suggest having the high nybble inverted?
