I have two 1764, one is ok, second is detected by c64 but ram is not working, this tool properly detects 1764 (256k) shows all RAM chips as dead. I'm not soldering kiddie anymore and I want to trace root of this problem, I started with REC swap and after this operation it is clear thanks to this tool that malfunction is with RAM on bad PCB. Unfortunately soldering only one chip in second bank makes this utility not se this bank, but this is still better than another '17xx tester' which responded that entire bank 2nd bank of 1750 is good (yes, with one chip soldered!)
