Gee I have no idea how you made that scroll. A nintendoish themed demo on the C64... and Mario performing Moonwalker?! You have to just love it!

This demo was one of my favourites from 2020! Just had to watch it again after bumping into this soundtrack video with vincenzo’s production notes: https://youtu.be/ZQaUgZFFWfs

Nice demo!
ps: it's crashing if I don't kill my FC3, any idea why?

Thanks for replying! Sorry when I ask once again but how is it possible to swap the disks with "hold button" method without freezeing/entering the menu? There is no function for assigning two disk sides and swap them with hold button or am I wrong?

Edit: Okay, I was wrong! I didn't update from FW 2.6k to 3.7 until today due to a custom FW which was more compatible until I test 3.7 today, so I missed this really cool feature. Thanks for this hint. :-)

@PARALAX - yeah we know, it's seems an UII bug due to the CIA FLI timing in the flip disk part, which UII cannot handle properly. Do not freeze with Ultimate II, but instead hold the cartridge button to swap the disk, or use a real floppy disk. ;)

Unfortunately crashes on 1541 Ultimate II after turning the disk over when leaving the file browser (tested with the latest 3.7 Firmware).

Who doesn't love Mario? What a wonderful, entertaining demo. So many cool details and good humor too. Lots of time spent on timing - and it shows. I was particularly happy with the music in this one. This multilayer scrolling thing ... Is that the next big thing? I just reeeeaaaally love it.
Code wise the 3d rendered objects blew my mind but the turn disk should have been realtime IMO <3

I was a Sega Kid ever since (beyond C64), but this really made me smile all the way. Still laughing about moonwalking Mario :)

Thank you for this beautiful show!

This rocked on the night! Really great treatment of the Nintendo theme; I think that in terms of coming up with (and then sticking to) concepts for demos, Lethargy are right up there with the very best. 8-bit spirit mastered... now, how about a Mega Drive tribute demo?? ;)
