Hello, is there any information on migrating a project from 2.3 to 3.0? I'm getting some issues and since there's no repo with commits or "what changed" info. it's quite a black box to me. :(

@Bitbreaker: Oops, I somehow completely missed that you had released an improved Bitfire in March. That would of course be relevant to include in the comparison.
As for how many copies fit on a disk, my FLI test disk has 262 blocks free (and could accomodate maybe four more copies of the data set, for a total of 12) and my BASIC+KERNAL test disk has 182 blocks free (maybe two more copies, for a total of 10). I used eight copies because I could fit eight numbers on each screen row.

I had a look at your benchmark-results. In my observations the zx0 delivers > 21kb/s in average on plain decompression and 9kb/s in average when loading on the fly, worst case is 4,75 with small file, best file is reaching 13,28kb/s. How often does the FLI or kernal fit on a single disk side? Why using such an outdated version or bitfire without zx0 yet? :-D It is good to see free memory in the drive-memory while having two sectors cached. The checksumming seems to happen outside the gcr-loop. Therefore you save space in the tables by spending more cycles on the gcr-loop or course. Also nice to see the resident part down to 2 pages only.

Awesome! When you told me about this new version at GubbData I got very, very happy. Thank you for putting all the work into this and letting the rest of us use it to build demos.
