"I also hope I continue to be someone who freely shares what I know with curious, intelligent people who want to learn"

yeah, I was the same in my first few years ... but after dealing with various retards the fun of it wore off

Thank you Daison! I didn't PAL-fix the timing for the raster bars. I guess when the day comes that most PAL demo releases are NTSC-fixed so I can watch them on the real hardware, I'll do more PAL-fixing myself. I must say though Dawnfall/Oxyron was a much appreciated demo NTSC fix!

I guess maybe next time I might do a $02a6 check to jmp to fix up pointer to PAL raster delay table.

Cool stuff dude, really making progress here. Pure oldskool fun and I love the color effect on the proportional scroller.

The rasters in the first part seem to bug a bit on PAL though.

And thanks for the greets! :)

Moloch: And I hope it does (continue to be that way)...I also hope I continue to be someone who freely shares what I know with curious, intelligent people who want to learn.

Getting there ...

"snappy self-important replies from crochety old sceners" - welcome to the scene, always been that way and will continue to be that way

iAN: Yes, it needed to be properly linked/packed, which I had done originally but was having problems with the autorun of the packed 2nd and 3rd parts. Obviously I was more concerned with releasing last night than properly one-filing/link/packing, so that's what I did. This is my first multi-file demo, and next time I will put more effort into finishing. However, for me it's about coding, and learning the old-school effects first.

Also, I've noticed many people's intelligent questions on the forum answered with snappy self-important replies from crochety old sceners who haven't released in years. So I tend to talk to mainly the dozen or so people in the 'scene' who actually act like adults most of the time. There are probably more than my pessimistic assumption, so I'll eagerly await to meet them.

That being said, I really have gotten a lot of positive feedback about my coding attempts, and I appreciate it immensely. ...also, the one-file version is great!

Welcome to 1987 \o/ but...
Unpacked parts, uses only kernal loader and can be onefiled with no effort at all. You could have spent a little more time on finishing it. I don't critic the quality of the demo itself but the "finishing" touch.

I would appreciate anyone's help on finding the author of the tune for the first part in the HVSC so I can provide proper CSDB credit. PM me or update the entry. Thank you. The only info I have is that it was "Hayes".
