@CreaMD: You have this if you have applied one of the recent firmware updates. 2nd SID emulation only works on the 1541-U2, though.

"built in sidplayer of the 1541U. " WOOOT?? I have that? Need to test it somehow. Does that also mean that I could somehow use 1541U for 2 sid composing??

I've associated *_2SID.sid with VICE 2.3 and it simply needs this commandline:

x64 -vsid file.sid

The official 2.3 doesn't support correctly the new v3 format, the patch for it has been imported in current trunk (2.3.9 as of now) so you have either to rebuild it yourself or use my build of WinVICE

2SID support in ACID64 is in progress. I will release that in August.

JSidplay2 beta is available that has 2SID support which can be downloaded via: http://jsidplay2.sourceforge.net/jsidplay2.jnlp

Also work is done for Sidplay 2.5 for Windows but I don't know the progress of it.

for psid v3 in vsid you'll need a recent svn build of vice :)

AFAIK Wilfred has a beta of Acid64 in the works that supports 2sid. Other than that I think you can get Vice's vsid to work from the commandline, but never tried this. Wilfred, when do you have that ready? :-)
What definitely works (which is what I use) is the built in sidplayer of the 1541U.

Thanks for this... also nice that you've included our 2SIDs in there as well. Can you recommend a decent Sid player/plugin that will play them? I know there's a java version somewhere, but any other/new ones, especially with the new resid-fp support?
