Heh just saw this again after many years and was totally amused about the part that inspired Comalight :)

..But the real reason to watch this is the absolutely fabulous endpart with it's music and funny scrollers.

That fab demo was shown at the Crusade party in December 1990. I know because I was there, and mighty Modern Arts too! :)
MDA didn't spread the demo there, coz they wanted to review and change some minor things before releasing it.
I think I got the 100% version 1-2 weeks later - the release date reported on csdb seems a bit too far for me (but perhaps I'm wrong, it happened so many years ago...)

Guess this is from where the inspiration for last part of
Coma Light 13
might have come :)

Quite awesome stuff, especially for its time

IMHO things like these should easier get your appreciated 10 over any "new age" productions powered by converters, java based assemblers and inhuman toolchains :)

Very memorable demo and top notch in its day. Hell, it's still even great today as this demo aged well. Well I guess now I know where CL13 got the mustard with their end-sequence. That part of this demo really rocked, as did the last part with the group-members going into an argument haha. Fuck, I still give this a 9 today for originality and skill.

Matt, wo zie je met niew tuug? Bluven goajn vint, bluven goajn!

Great demo, I particularly want to mention the end part tune which is one of my all time favourite C64 pieces. There are times when I sit at my computer with the .sid on repeat time after time. When I first got this demo, I only had a C64c so the samples didn't even play properly, but I still loved the music!

Thunderblade: hehe, well having samples in demos means lots of memory (and rastertime) usage. and it lowers the pace if you wanna let ppl listen to it some time.
so in trackmos its the best solution to put that as an intro (loading time doesnt matter that much here), flip disk part (where you have a natural break in the flow - and ppl can decide the "pace" themselfes) - or endpart.

and yea, i still love this demo quite much and check it out every now and then. its one of my all time favourites when it comes to the demos of the 80s and 90s

Great music in the endpart. Did this demo start the tradition of having digisounds in the last part? Coma Light 13 and Wonderland XII seem to follow this. :)

I also like the two girls, the one that's still dressed looks at you... waiting... tempting... It's very difficult to create such a facial expression on C64 with its limited resolution.

One of the top for sure. For those of you who haven't seen MDA's productions, this one gives you the lot. An all time personal favorite. Well part from T'Pau that is :)
Make sure you give that final tune in the demo a chance if you skip the others. This is fab!

This is a gem in demo history and damn funny. I was mesmerized by the discussion the three had in the final part. Laughed my ass off. "Mat, why are those pixels so fat?" *Mat looks shocked, Joe grins* Brilliant. Great music too, I just had to play with the digitized sounds (Digihack 1).

Come on, do the Modern Art dance: "Left-right, left-right" :)
A demo full of fine code, great graphics and very neat music. I remember laughing my ass off while watching the last part where the three demomakers are arguing a-la "Trilight"/Padua...
Simply amazing! A must see for every demo-lover.
