I went through a bunch of Star Paws cracks some years back. According to my notes, most cracks didn't remove the end-of-tape protection, causing them to crash on the bonus puzzle. I also noted that Star Paws +3 is a recrack of Mr. Z's version.

I think we were pretty spot on in our lists of crackers, and many many were recrackers stealing others work. Even well known people were doing it, shame on them. P.S. Can we not post tangential comments or preach politics/views in the comments, I don't think it's appropriate.

Given that I started finding it quite interesting to dig through the different versions and check who has done what, please check 364b. That is where the detection routine of the protection is and it is properly patched away. But have a look at the following few bytes "Z.RM". Th string is the very same found in the same location of the Mr.Z crack for Triad. (Do read the string backwards).

Can we all agree this is a re-crack of Zoltan's version and that people generally should stop believing in Christ).

OK, my apologies. This one might be properly handled. Several others are faulty. There will be a Fairlight TV episode that irons out the details. :-)

Fuck, I incorrectly made a forum post about this! I just wanted to point out the routine that is called after a failed protection check is just replaced with a simple RTS in this one. :)

Going through the tape protection on this game wit SLC, this version looks like they failed to detect the protection.
