So many enjoyable effects and tomfoolery true oldskool ‘scene spirit… everything keeps this prod rolling along so smoothly it’s part video art / short film / parody / demo. Great fun. 10+

Incredible seeing this type of cooperation between so many talented groups. And I love the humour in it as well, great stuff. Very nice to see all of this friendly cooperation/"coopetition" in the scene these days. Thanks!

Thanks everyone, it was definitely a lot of fun working on this demo... it’s the first co-op demo i’ve worked on, actually.

Funny to see the rivalry spilling out of the demo and into the hearts of some of the CSDB community (I guess that means it worked) ;-) .. can’t wait to see the comeback from Mixer - hopefully he’ll come back to do something to rival the glory days of Origo :-)

Very nice cooperation with a funny motif :D
Gfx and msx are so amazing! Great dypp, "morphing" of a woman's face and all the rest ...
Thanks for a great C64 demo at Revision.
Keep taking your medicines guys to live as long as possible ;)

November 2020 is where the real friendly rilvary will be.

Fresh, original designed demo!

Don't see much rivalry here, but plenty of cooperation...

I think it was a nice demo all in all, with some good effects and tunes, but it feels like this mutual admiration thing you seem to have got going probably is more fun for you than it is for the audience.

Looking forward to some actual Rivalry in the future.

What Walt said.
+
all that made in, what??? 3-4 months? ... after X?

And as you Mixer noticed (and for me it was most important part)
It was SO MUCH FUN to do and work with all the guys involved

One more comment from my side would be to kind of agree with Yazoo.
I had mixed feelings about this but when Trap introduced me to the idea of demoparts making fun of other groups demoparts and all that in a welcoming atmosphere with great people, funny chats on Slack. I was all in.
I can't wait to do next 25+ artists coop demo ;) but first... X2020 ;)
Don't you think The Performers vs The Seniors could be nice battle ;)

ps.
Thanks for nice comments.

@Mixer : I'm not sure that I would classify this as a "4 chord pop song". You may be right that there may not be any revolutionary new routines in here. That is mostly because of the theme "Rivalry".

Examples:

I created a part that Bob would typically do (the colorcycle scroller) but put it in upper and lower border.

Raistlin re-did two of Rickys routines (the DYPP and the Star Wars scroller) and improved the DYPP.

The friendly mockery and attribution is the main theme and in that regard I think it works very well :)

There is nothing wrong with the demo. Artistry is 1st class, but overall it is a sequence of a pretty picture on a recycled effect and some forgettable music, then repeat. I mean, astronauts drink recycled piss, it may be high tech but it still piss. To mask piss as "rivalry" is just an attempt to hide the truth behind some clever propaganda. And the audience just quaffs it all like it is the cum of God! Well done! The artists involved have done more surprising, dramatic and progressive stuff in the past. This is a demo equivalent of a four chord pop song. Do you want this to be the future of demos? Anyway, ppl do demos for fun, so I hope some critique does not lessen the fun of doing this demo which has nothing wrong with it.

That fli effect scrolled thing is amazing!! But can we have a bit more exploration of it in a single part demo?

I’m sorry, but if you don’t love this, you don’t love the Commodore 64.

It’s so inspiring to see you dumb old geezers kicking each other’s arses while rocking together in this way. Neat effects, lush pixels, groovy tunes, a little bit of fight, and a lot of love for the greatest machine ever to exist. An instant classic, in my view. Thank you to all involved for such a perfect Easter gift for a C64 scene fan like me.

@Mixer: According to the chatroom comments and the crowd response during and after showing this at Revision, the dead of the C64 as a demo platform seems quite exaggerated ;)

Recycled effects, medicore music and too classic graphics motifs. Well done, but perhaps c-64 is a dead demo platform.

awesome. i'm not a big fan of those mega-cooperations with like 1000 ppl involved (not anymore, been there, done that). but here 5 groups bring us a wonderful release. thumbs up! love it!

Oh this is excellent. Particularly liked that all borders DYPP, but really this was nice work all the way through.

Good to see the opening transition respects random d800 values too :)

10/10 is too low of a rating for this one. It should have unlocked 11 point votes on CSDb.
