That's rather sweet. And personally I quite like the tick tock tick tock, it feels organically integral to the piece.

See? It’s not that hard :-)

And btw, if you have any logical music related argument i will gladly discuss it.

You could, but quite persistently decided not to. ;-)

Clicks are important and complete the tune:-) Without them it would be just a few bars of pretty chords

Yes, they definitely are. However, indicating the rhythm wasn't the reason why their sound was a bad choice. To me, they don't fit with the rest of the tune pretty similar to e.g. "wrong" hihat that ruins the whole drumset and stands out from the background too much as a result. I'd probably go with a bit softer sound.

Quoting Shogoon
It’s my way of describing the feeling of rush and the inevitability of time. time is running and you cannot do anything about it.

I do see the intention, but in my opinion the chord "hiccups" would utilize their silence-play better if the pause was a tiny bit longer, reaching the threshold where it doesn't sound like stuttering/glitch anymore. The time frame of the silence is simply too short to make the intended impression, in my opinion.

Quoting Shogoon
I disagree :-)

That's fine. Once again, those are just details (tiny or not, but noticeable) inside really enjoyable tune.

Nono, @jojeli. Your comment was 100% merit (In contrary to fesus) and I’m glad that you’ve shared it with me. You’ve put an effort to think about music, I really appreciate it!

@Shogoon hopefully no offence taken from my comment. The intention was to give an honest review of how I felt about the tune, or rather that one sound in particular, not for the apprentice to educate the master. :D After all, the tune is awesome, and something I could never do in a million years (let alone in a rush just before the compo deadline).

Beautiful melodies, great tune. Just unpolished as you said.

@spider-j :-) yes, i had my moments of enlightenment in the light of lord fesus. I've made it up just to mess with him, cause he is always so picky and dead serious. But it's a cool story, Isn't it? And it fits like a glove.

@Jojeli cool ideas, thank you for your comment:P

@Shogoon: well, I see that you're an expert in writing "why I was late for school today" essays and I can very well identify with that ;-P

Such purdy melodies! <3 I have to agree, at least to some extent, with F4sus4 regarding the metronome sound: In my opinion it would fit the tune just fine, but maybe not for the whole duration of the tune without any breaks, and most of the time it is a bit on the loud side too. :) Maybe if used as a spice here and there it would work better, or if it evolved into more complex rhythmic patterns later in the tune, or even into melodies that would supplement other melodies. Anyway, stellar sounds otherwise, and a very very nice overall rhythm! And I like the pumping ADSR. :)

Overwhat? Nope, I really had fun talking with you, dear word monger. And btw, if you have any logical music related argument i will gladly discuss it.

That sounds like a fitting advice for a person who got overheated because of the review in the first place.

Geez. I’m teasing you all the way if you still didn’t get it. This is just sid. Relax, drink some water, eat banana, cast some votes ;) and stop being so serious. And dont act like a victim, cause you are not one;)

There's a line between discussing the production, and an attempt to ridicule the person behind the feedback only because the author didn't like/understand received insights.

As much as claiming banana glued to the wall to be "ununderstandable" art. :-)

Or maybe it needs a bit of musicality to understand? :-)

Everything "sounds better" when there's background story to it, but without that story, poorly executed ideas remain just poorly executed ideas.

I disagree :-) Clicks are important and complete the tune:-) Without them it would be just a few bars of pretty chords. Of course there’s an idea behind it. Cliks (or ticking of the clock, etc) are composed into irregular and therfore „rushed” rhytmic pattern which repeats itself throughout the piece. It’s my way of describing the feeling of rush and the inevitability of time. time is running and you cannot do anything about it. All you can do is just to move forward and (as title suggest) hit the road (of your life;). I know - it’s not polished at all. Well, there was no... time ;) And I found it hilarious to compose a piece about rush in one hour till deadline:-) Thx for your comments guys!

Even though I very much liked the idea of using metronome-like sounds, they failed to complement any aspect of the tune and simply do not fit. Also, these chord "hiccups" between each phrase sound like bad ADSR management and feel utterly unnecessary. Apart from these inconveniences - smooth track, kudos.

Great melodies and bright atmosphere. Unfortunately that constant click track sound really spoils it for me.

yes, great one! Made me think of "Perpetual motion" by Elektroids for some reason (even though there are some differences in style of course) and I like that tune quite a lot.

Since I was late on the votesheet myself, I've decided to be generous and let this in the compo anyway. Thanks for participating!
