I forgot I already looked at the code of 'no more grey dots'.
Very elegant that and totally different from what I did.
Mine is more of a robotic Oompah Oompah:
decode-sprite-data
write write write
quickly-change-all-previous-code
decode-sprite-data
write write write
etc.

I can't take the credit for the animation, because those are the sprites ripped from the game Killer Watt.
'optimizing to get rid of the grey dots'. Hehe, I thought I did optimize. This thing is older than the demo 'no more grey dots'. I should look at how they did that.
Although I realised later there are more demos using just the border color, that was never in my mind when I came up with it (the base idea is from years ago).
