Some great riffs are packed in there. The touch of guitar playing hands is evident. The only thing I miss a little is some grit: this aesthetically balanced (otherwise great) sound is just too nice for the riffs in my opinion. Nevertheless, an inspiring tune.

Yes, more metal please! Actually I've experimented a bit with black metal on the C64, and it's possible although requires quite a bit of attention to details... Hopefully I'll get something out one day. This tune is great, btw. :-)

CreaMD: there is actually a sort of balance, there are some hero-metal melodies and normal chord progressions too but they're sort of buried or pass quickly by :)

Hein: I think the more misanthropic/necro metal style you aim for, the harder it gets. Something with strong varied rhythm and emphasis on lead melodies (like Iron Maiden) is easiest IMO.

Metal is something you love completely or hate completely. Keep on producing more sidmetal, Cadaver \m/

Cadaver: Good question. Why? How about creating balance of power between light side and dark side? ;-)

Cool track. More people should (could) try to do metal music with SID, it's not easy. (If it's ok I call it metal music, ofcourse :) ) As for cleverness, I agree with Cadaver, a lot of slick music lacks real soul and is built on tricks, missing a good foundation.

This might have benefitted from some small nuances/variety, but the main goal was achieved: to create a monotonous, unpleasant, and infernal atmosphere. :) No attempted cleverness or pleasing of SID technical buffs involved. Why to participate in a sidcompo with such entry, is another question..

I think this tune is under average and I am really sure that Cadaver can do it a LOT better.
