Since the version by Krush was a very special one that afforded above lamer level skill to copy and was very picky to load, i highly also recommend replacing this upload/links with the c64.com version. i have extracted the .d64 here
http://dl.dataelephant.net/Katakis_2Disk_KRUSH.zip
VICE NOTE! : This is not a *real* crack. It is a very picky version that despises cartridges and wrong config, so in VICE it will best run on TDE:yes, 1541-II, Extend on access, Idle None.
Enjoy, as this one has different sprites and is a little more buggy:
you can press pause as a shot entered a levelboss (short white blink) and while it is in pause, the game will still count damage. So: shoot, pause, wait, unpause - levelboss dead. Game is beatable like this in 19 minutes. (Thats my score from 1989, i believe).

PS.: i believe it was this intro that i learned "Split Rasters" from, if i remember right.

PPS.: Oh and - it was written on the disk with fat felt marker: LOAD "K*",8,1 - because, whoever made the disk directory layout, was so dumb to put a del file with minuses in the first position, so there is no lO"*",8,1 on this one. sheesh

Great! Thx :-)
As I'm still unable to fix the d64 (even copying on the real thing fails, but the game runs just fine ?), maybe we should upload the image from C64.com?

I think I managed to find the right Def, having an Offenbach address like the others.
Joey (supply) is another matter though.
I'll place this release 1988 considering the other cracks of it, and considering the other groups Def was in.

Seems to be some breakage on track 18 of disk 1, maybe your .d64 reader gave up?
(2=missing or malformed sector header)
Disk 2 seems clean though.

EDIT: and subsequently it doesn't load in VICE with true drive emulation as 18,1 is broken.
Strangely the "fake" drive emulation can load those sectors even without the headers, so I guess you can do a copy from the .g64 to .d64 inside vice to fix it. :)

the archive contains .g64 'cause I was unable to create a working .d64 *sigh* But shouldn't be a problem at all, right?
Now, wich "Def" did this crack? Is he already known? Or another "Def" for the database :)
