Nice but does not support the 6510 illegal instruction set.

cc65 simply rox hard... i've tried mostly every cross-development solution available (for dos/win atleast) and i really gotta say this one puts the rest to deep shame. second to starcommander, this is a must have. definetly.

Thumbs up to CC65!

A C compiler for the C64 definately RULEZ 100%.

It can also be used as a stand-alone assembler, that beats any C64 assembler i've ever seen. While other assemblers maybe have like 10-20 assembler-commands (like ".byte", ".word" etc) CC65's assembler has like 100 of 'em, and lots of other really cool functions. It doesn't have the "design bugs" many other assemblers has been bugging me with - it works as it should.

Check it out, even if you're not gonna compile C code - check it just for the assembler.
