come on, Jim Sachs MUST have inspired himself on this image to do the DotC stuff. https://thekingofgrabs.files.wordpress.com/2019/12/defender-of-..

saehn: not just commercial pics are located in the c64pixels member's area, also copies and oldschool stuff in general.

Completely unknown here in Europe. Too bad.

@enthusi: that's odd, since as far as I know he didn't do any commercial art for the C64. Or at least most of his work was not commercial. I have a lot more of his pics, they were widely distributed on USA BBSs and networks.

Very nice. Indeed reminds of DOTC or some Magnetic Scrolls stuff.

Nice one indeed.
Keep in mind that the works of JHM were created on/for NTSC systems.
The impact of that is quite obvious, e.g. in his works on http://www.c64pixels.com

Direct link (you need to register since his works were judged to be commercial content):

** I stand corrected. Not commercial, but special :)

Nice work, reminds me of Defender of the Crown, and the works of Jim Sachs. I very much like this style, it has a classic feel to it. Would be great in a game for sure.
