Well, in fact not that much.
Digger has prepared 6 charscreens, one for each 8px scroll position, and 8 different charsets (each of them showing a 40x6 chars bitmap).
He's used charscreen for scrolling, while I've used charsets.

@wertstahl: the whole idea behind this release was displaying this funny image in its original resolution but, once done, I preferred a more pleasant subject.
@Oswald: no badlines => no horizontal movement; 1 badline => too many charsets needed (ok, you may use the EBCM trick, but you would lose multicolor mode)

why not avoid all bls ?

Every row has it's own (piece of) charset, I'm using "double row effect" to avoid most BLs.
Horizontal movement is achieved by changing just 2/3 char rows, this means that the image can be freely repositioned horizontally at almost no cost.
I can move vertically by changing charset indexes (which is *fast*) and by uncompressing byteboozed rows on the fly: that's the heaviest part, the one limiting the vertical speed.
Uncompression takes place on main, triggered by a semaphore.
If they can be compressed enough this routine can display images with resolution up to 1024x2048.
btw yes, charmode.

Thank you all.
@Psycho: yes, coding while looking after twins is pretty tough stuff
@Giulio/Wolf: after uncompression only ~3500 highly fragmented bytes are left free.
