McMeatLoaf found out that the Pac Runner tune is made in the editor Background Music Editor V1.0. Nice find!

From the manual: "Basic Lightning is an extension to the CBM64's resident BASIC interpreter which adds over 150 commands. The additional commands cover three main areas: structured programming, graphics and sound". The cracked version can be found here: Basic Lightning V1.2. Perhaps Pac Runner tune is made with Basic Lightning and then converted to Toni Luode's player or there is a cracked version around that used the tune in the intro linked to it.

I've found a disk with Basic Lightning and White Lightning that has some sample tunes but I was not able to play them. Perhaps somebody wants to give it a try. The disk can be found here: http://cbm8bit.com/8bit/commodore/disk-image-search?query=basic..

What was Basic Lightning? Wonder why Pac_Runner.sid is called that...
